Breathtaking views. Legendary vineyards. And the Erie Lakeshore wrapped into one special bicycle tour. Riders have the choice of a 21 or 47-mile non-competitive ride. Riders may add an optional loop around Findley Lake, NY to the 47 mile ride to take total mileage to 52 miles. Each tour will take you through the county's beautiful vineyards, fruit farm region and lakeshore. The Lake Erie Grape growing region is the largest grape growing region in the world. A stop in historic and charming downtown North East, PA will provide cyclists with classic sweet treats and PBJ sandwiches made from local grapes. The ride includes optional stops at Mazza Vineyards where purchases will be safely transported back to Shades Beach. The ride will conclude with a picnic with wood-fired pizza from Brooklyn Pizza and beer and wine sampling from Five & 20 Spirits & Brewing and Mazza Vineyards. Proceeds from the ride benefit the Y's Food + Fun bus, a free mobile meals site for kids in need.

Note: Cyclists should be in condition to handle long and steep hills along the 47-mile ride.

EmergyCare Tour de West County
Saturday, August 1, 2020
Erie County's premier bicycle tour. This non-competitive event provides several scenic ride routes of varying distances. West Erie County is a treat to the senses with its rolling farmland, narrow lanes, and old-growth forest. Choose a 100 K, 50 K or 25 K loop of West Erie County. Water/snack stations are strategically placed to make sure riders can rest and refuel. Tour de West County coincides with Girard’s Dan Rice Days celebration. There are a lot of Dan Rice Days events to keep the whole family entertained while you pedal around West Erie County.
Tour de West County will end with a picnic at beautiful Lake Erie Community Park where you can see eagles fly. Proceeds from this event support EmergyCare, one of Pennsylvania's largest nonprofit EMS providers.
